Chow Mein

This recipe is from my Grandma Ward.  It lacks color but tastes delicious!  To make this gluten free, make sure your cornstarch and chicken bouillon are gluten free.

7 servings

2 pounds ground turkey
1 onion
1 cup celery
2 cups water
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Garlic (optional)
Mushrooms (optional)
2 cans bean sprouts
Pea pods (optional)
Bamboo shoots (optional)
1 cup water
1 tablespoon cornstarch

  1. Brown ground turkey and drain.
  2. Add onion and celery
  3. Add water, chicken bouillon, and soy sauce.
  4. Add garlic and mushrooms (optional)
  5. Add bean sprouts.
  6. Add pea pods and bamboo shoots (optional)
  7. To thicken, take 1 c. water to 1 tbs. cornstarch and stir in.
  8. Serve with rice.
